The Atlas TC229 rim clamp, swing arm tire changer is the perfect machine for homeowners, a small commercial garage or an ATV/Motorcycle dealer. The TC229 has the same clamping range and tire changing capabilities of the Atlas TC221 tire changer, but has the added built in “Beadblaster” system. The “Beadblaster” system helps inflate stiff sidewall or other “hard to inflate” tires. If you are plan on changing larger pickup truck (1 ton), large SUV, or agricultural tires (either now or in the future), you may want to consider the Atlas TC289 tire changer. The Atlas wheel clamp tire changers are designed to change the tires on both high priced alloy wheels and steel wheels without damaging the rim or the tire. The powerful bead breaker located on the side of the machine is designed to break even the most stubborn and rusted beads without damage to the rim. The turntable jaws (which can be covered with plastic covers) hold the rim securely without damaging the surface of the rim. These jaws can be moved to three different positions along the slide of the turntable to either increase or decrease the clamping range, and to handle the widest variety of tires. The Atlas TC229 requires some assembly after purchase.

Forklift & Lift Gate Information

Unloading Requirements

Our larger equipment — including single-post, 2-post, and 4-post lifts — must be unloaded using a forklift or equivalent equipment.
Smaller items such as tire changers, wheel balancers, and similar tools can be delivered with lift-gate service at no extra cost, which safely lowers the shipment to ground level.

⚠️ Hand unloading is not permitted due to carrier safety policies. Drivers are not allowed to wait during manual unloading.

If You Don’t Have a Forklift

No problem — we can help you arrange a smooth delivery.

  • Freight-terminal pickup: We can ship to a local freight terminal (usually within 30–60 minutes of your address).

  • Alternate delivery location: We can deliver to a friend, workplace, or business with a forklift.

  • Warehouse pickup: Pick up directly from one of our partner warehouses (available on many products).

  • Forklift rental: As a last option, you may rent a forklift locally — deliveries are scheduled in advance so rentals are short-term.

Residential Deliveries

We deliver to residential addresses across the U.S.
The freight carrier will contact you before delivery to schedule a convenient drop-off time.

Freight Terminals

If you don’t have a forklift, we can ship to a nearby freight terminal for pickup (typically a 30–60 minute drive).

Some oversized items ship on dedicated flatbed trucks — in those cases, terminal pickup is not available. This will be clearly noted on the product page.
